Shankill 6 Northend United 0                                            Saturday 3rd October 2015

This was another difficult fixture for this new look Northend side. Northend started off well in defence in the early stages of this game with Sam Frew, Robert McCluney, Stuart Lecky and Dylan Magill battling hard and clearing all the dangerous balls.
15 minutes into the game Northend conceded a soft penalty which Shankill slotted it in the bottom corner. Shankill added two more goals before half time. Shankill could have added to their score but for some exceptional goalkeeping from Connor Brennan. Mark Robinson replaced an injured Magill. Half time score 3-0

Northend came out in the second half with a fighting spirit with the midfield of Conall Gordon, Philip Kyle, Luke Parker and Cameron McKay all working hard and creating chances. Shankill soon made it 4, however Brian McCluney's tactical changes midway through the 2nd half bringing on Dylan pushing Sam and Robert further forward to create more chances. Although Shankill ran in two late goals to make it six, the Northend the strike force of Chris Fullerton and Luke Herbison held up the ball well. Even though the score line was not what the Blues wanted from a well organised Shankill side, there were many positives to take out of this game with impressive debuts from Dylan Magill and Cameron McKay. Full time 6-0
